CrossFi is a decentralized finance ecosystem designed to bridge the gap between traditional banking and the digital asset world. The project operates on its own proprietary Layer 1 blockchain known as the CrossFi Chain. This network utilizes a unique dual-chain architecture that combines the scalability of the Cosmos SDK with the smart contract flexibility of the Ethereum Virtual Machine. By integrating these two technologies, the platform allows developers to build decentralized applications that are compatible with the Ethereum ecosystem while benefiting from the high transaction speeds and interoperability of the Cosmos network. The ecosystem is powered by two primary tokens. The first is XFI, which serves as the core utility token for the network. It is used to pay for transaction fees, participate in protocol governance, and act as collateral within various decentralized applications. The second token is MPX, which represents the computing power or minting capability of the network. Users can stake MPX to help secure the blockchain and earn rewards in the form of XFI tokens. One of the primary goals of CrossFi is to make digital assets practical for everyday use. To achieve this, the project offers several key products. The CrossFi App is a Web3 banking solution that provides users with a platform to manage both crypto and traditional assets in one place. This is complemented by the CrossFi Card, a non-custodial payment solution that enables users to spend their digital assets at millions of merchants worldwide through established global payment networks. Additionally, the project includes a decentralized finance suite called xAPP, which supports activities like asset swapping and liquidity provision. Another significant feature is the xAssets platform, which is designed for the tokenization of real-world assets. This allows users to interact with synthetic versions of traditional financial instruments like commodities and stocks directly on the blockchain. Technologically, the CrossFi Chain relies on a Delegated Proof of Stake consensus mechanism and the Tendermint core. This setup ensures that the network remains secure, transparent, and capable of handling high volumes of operations. The project emphasizes regulatory compliance and has sought legal recognition for its core technologies in numerous jurisdictions. By focusing on financial inclusion and the seamless integration of blockchain into the existing global financial infrastructure, CrossFi aims to provide a comprehensive suite of tools for the next generation of digital finance.
