This process is intended to be self-sustaining and perpetual. The total supply of CMPT tokens started at 1,000,000 coins. The utility of CMPT extends to enabling immersive environments for activities such as gaming, education, and training. Token holders can participate in governance by voting on various proposals, influencing the direction of the ecosystem. Developers are also provided with SDKs and APIs to create innovative applications that integrate spatial data, enhancing user interaction and engagement within the platform. The project's journey began with the release of its whitepaper in March 2020. Following this, a testnet was launched in June 2020, allowing developers and early adopters to experiment with the platform. The mainnet became fully operational in December 2020, and an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) took place in January 2021 to facilitate initial token distribution and funding for ongoing development and marketing efforts.
