Goldivaults tokenize the future yield of yield-bearing positions on Berachain, enabling users to trade and speculate on this future yield.
The initial supply of LOCKS tokens is 190,000,000. Of this, 34 million tokens are allocated to the team, permanently staked and locked, preventing their sale. Another 156 million tokens are assigned to seed investors, also locked, staked, and unlock linearly over 12 months, commencing three months after the Token Generation Event (TGE). LOCKS does not have a fixed supply; tokens are minted when users buy and burned when users sell, leading to an elastic supply model.
Goldiswap establishes the initial liquidity for LOCKS using two distinct liquidity pools: the floor supporting liquidity pool (FSL) and the price supporting liquidity pool (PSL). The FSL is designed to set a minimum amount of HONEY, Berachain's native stablecoin, that backs each LOCKS token. Crucially, this floor price is engineered to never decrease, providing a stable foundation for the token's value from its inception.
Users can acquire LOCKS tokens by performing swaps with other tokens, such as HONEY, on various decentralized platforms or directly through Goldiswap. Once acquired, LOCKS tokens can be staked within the Goldilocks DAO ecosystem. Staking enables holders to not only earn rewards, such as PORRIDGE tokens, but also empowers them to actively participate in the project's decentralized governance. This process is fundamental for community involvement and reward distribution.
