Circle does not recognize or redeem USDC[hts] directly; to convert it to fiat, you must bridge it back to its original network or swap it for native USDC on a Hedera-based exchange.

Holding USDC[hts] involves bridge risk. Unlike native USDC, which depends on the issuer's solvency, USDC[hts] depends on the security of the Hashport bridge.
