Rubix is an L1 blockchain protocol designed to high scale through asynchronous parallelism, low carbon intensity & zero gas fees. Rubix global state is made of several proofchains (around 300 at the moment - similar to shards) that scale independent of each other. Rubix mainnet beta has been live since March 2021. RBT is the native utility coin of the the Rubix chain. Every transaction in the chain needs at least one RBT to build provenance. The total supply of RBTs is capped at around 51.4 million (hard cap). More than 9 million RBT coins have been mined so far. The network is currently at difficulty level 4. NFTs & smart contracts can be built on top of Rubix chain using the RAC (Rubix Asset Contract) standard. RAC standard can be used to mint NFTs & L2 coins & asset tokens. Rubix is a modular architecture which allows secure subnets to be easily built on the public chain.
