The NTS wants to have a provider selected and secured within the first half of 2026.Custody providers must meet several criteria which include: A strong foundation for security Being a large enough organization and having the ability to provide services operationally Having an insurance policy that covers the provider under regulations in South Korea Finally, it is anticipated that one of the most important requirements will be for custody providers to comply with the Virtual Asset User Protection Act, which will involve insurance as well as protecting users' assets.<h2>A Shift Toward Institutional-Grade Crypto Management</h2>There has been some change on the part of the Korean authorities regarding how they are moving towards establishing adequate ways to manage confiscated digital assets.
