The CLOB model allows for tighter spreads and more precise price execution, providing an institutional-grade environment that supports advanced trading strategies on-chain.
The DEEP token is central to the protocol’s ecosystem. It is used to pay trading fees, a portion of which is permanently removed from circulation through a burn mechanism. Additionally, users can stake DEEP to participate in governance, voting on key pool parameters. The token also facilitates liquidity incentives, where market makers receive rebates in DEEP for providing depth to the order book.
DeepBook V3 represents a significant upgrade from V2. While V2 was a basic implementation without a native token, V3 introduced the DEEP token, governance capabilities, and support for flash loans. DeepBook is built exclusively on Sui using the Move programming language. It is designed to be highly composable, allowing developers to use Programmable Transaction Blocks to chain multiple trades or complex financial operations into a single transaction.
