As more and more nations begin to take action regarding their precious metal reserves, it will accelerate the speed of RWA adoption, and therefore, the amount of RWA B2B liquidity. If a nation has an abundance of gold reserves, strategic natural resources, or is a major exporter of natural resources, tokenizing RWA will allow them to access liquidity from a global pool of investors without going through traditional financial intermediaries. <a href="https://www.gold.org/goldhub/data/gold-reserves-by-country" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sovereign gold reserves</a> alone currently represent an untapped market of $2 trillion worth of holdings and weigh 37,000 plus metric tonnes. Pension funds, insurance companies, and sovereign wealth funds cannot place assets (such as Bitcoin) that are subject to 50% fluctuations on a monthly basis. Gold-backed tokens provide stability with marginal upside potential (2-5% annually) but minimal risk of capital loss. In addition, gold-backed sovereign tokens mitigate concerns relating to redemption or custodial failures.<h2>The Contrarian Bet</h2>Retailers concerned about price charts while governments develop infrastructure to define the coming crypto cycle.
